    Waterloo Region is encouraging residents to “Be Prepared for Anything”

    Waterloo Region – National Emergency Preparedness Week is being held next week, (May 1st to 7th). Local municipalities and emergency services partners are encouraging Waterloo Region residents to “Be Prepared for Anything”.  Emergencies can happen at any time and without warning. With some preparation upfront, you can respond quickly and protect yourself, your family, and your community.

Information packages have all the forms you need to run for office and lots of helpful information.     Waterloo Region – Effective tomorrow, March 1, 2022, the Province of Ontario will take additional steps to ease public health measures.

  • Township continues its commitment to investing in community infrastructure and climate change

    Woolwich Township – In approving the 2022 Budget, Council is committed to investing solidly and thoughtfully to reflect the challenges our growing community faces, while advancing critical infrastructure projects that continue to help us tackle the Township’s infrastructure deficit.  As part of the 2022 Budget Council has also continued its commitment in building up the infrastructure levy and the climate action levy, ensuring that future dollars are available for key infrastructure and climate action initiatives.

  • Ontario easing further public health measures

    Waterloo Region –The Ontario government is continuing to ease public health measures across the Province with a gradual and cautious approach. The next phase will see measures easing on February 17, 2022 at 12:01 am.

  • NOTICE of Woolwich Township Siren Testing and Test of the AlertWR System

    Woolwich, ON – The Township is providing notification to the public of testing that will be occurring on our Siren/Shelter-in-Place Alerting System.  As this is the final step in transitioning the Township to our digital system, the town sirens will need to sound during the identified timeframe.  Each siren location will need to run for a full 3-minute cycle at some point during the timeframe noted below. 

  • Ontario to cautiously and gradually ease public health measures

    The Ontario government has released details of a cautious and gradual easing of public health measures, starting on January 31, 2022.

  • NOTICE of Woolwich Township Siren Test and Upgrades

    Woolwich, ON – The Township is providing notification to the public of upgrades and testing that will be occurring next week, January 10th – January 14th to our Siren System.  As this is the first step in working towards transitioning the township to our digital system, there is the possibility that the sirens could sound during this testing phase.  Notification is being provided to the public as this potential for the sirens to sound will be outside of the normal weekly scheduled test of the siren system, and we do not wish to cause alarm to the community.
