    Waterloo Region – In an effort to reduce the increased fire risk caused by continuing dry and hot weather, a full fire ban has been issued in the Townships of North Dumfries, Wellesley, Wilmot and Woolwich.

    Woolwich Township – In approving the 2023 Budget, Woolwich Council demonstrated its commitment to investing solidly and thoughtfully to address the challenges of our growing community.  Council supported additional resources to effectively manage growth along with funding to advance critical infrastructure projects that continue to help the municipality tackle the Township’s infrastructure deficit, and investments in quality of life services and facilities.

    Woolwich Township, ON – Today, Enbridge Gas Inc. (Enbridge Gas), the Fire Marshal’s Public Fire Safety Council (FMPFSC) and Woolwich Fire Services announced they are working together to improve home safety and bring fire and carbon monoxide-related deaths down to zero.

  • Voters casting their ballot early in the 2022 Municipal Election

    Voters are choosing to either vote online, not in-line or by phone while on the go!  With Woolwich Council proving the opportunity to vote via internet or telephone voting methods, Woolwich voters have joined hundreds of other Ontario municipalities casting their ballots electronically in the 2022 Municipal Election.  More voters have already cast their ballot before voting day using internet and telephone voting in the 2022 Municipal Election for the Township of Woolwich.

  • Sudden passing of Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) Trustee candidate Mark Fraser

    Sadly, the Townships of Wellesley and Woolwich learned that Mark Fraser, the WRDSB Trustee candidate for Wellesley/Woolwich passed away suddenly.  We offer our sincerest condolences to Mr. Fraser’s family and friends.
