Canada Post National Strike Impacts
Canada Post has announced a national strike, effective Nov. 15, 2024.
All incoming and outgoing mail delivery will be impacted.
Payment due dates for property taxes, water bills and parking tickets will not change. Residents are responsible for keeping payments up to date.
Residents are encouraged to sign up for eBilling - Woolwich Township to prevent delayed invoices and payments.

The Township of Woolwich is beginning to undergo an evaluation of the Outdoor Recreation Amenities. The goal is to create a strategy in which both community and council members begin to look at the aspects of developing, maintaining, replacing, and consolidating outdoor recreation amenities to meet communities needs in a cost efficient and sustainable manner. Waterloo Region – The Government of Ontario has announced it will move the province into Step One of its Roadmap to Reopen at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021.
Woolwich, ON – On June 1st, Woolwich Council endorsed the TransformWR strategy, as the community climate change mitigation strategy for the Township of Woolwich. The TransformWR strategy identifies 78 actions to reduce our local greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 80% by the year 2050.

Garlic Mustard is an invasive plant to be on the look-out for this spring in Woolwich. It is a non-native plant that often outcompetes our native plant life. Manual removal methods include: cutting plants before they set seed or pulling the plants and discarding to waste -- not compost to avoid seed spreading.
