Canada Post National Strike Impacts
Canada Post has announced a national strike, effective Nov. 15, 2024.
All incoming and outgoing mail delivery will be impacted.
Payment due dates for property taxes, water bills and parking tickets will not change. Residents are responsible for keeping payments up to date.
Residents are encouraged to sign up for eBilling - Woolwich Township to prevent delayed invoices and payments.

The Township of Woolwich has partnered with DocuPet to provide an enhanced pet licensing experience for residents.
All dog owners in Woolwich are required to buy dog tags for each of their dogs annually or within 21 days of moving into the Township. Licences now expire 365 days after the date of purchase.
Licences previously expired on December 31, but through our new licensing partnership with DocuPet, all licences now valid for a full 365 days after purchase. When you register your pet with the Township of Woolwich, you will receive a unique licence tag to attach to their collar. Our new licensing process with DocuPet allows residents to select a standard licence tag at no additional charge or upgrade to one of DocuPet’s colourful designer tag styles for an additional fee.
Each DocuPet tag, standard or designer, doubles as a pet’s official Township of Woolwich licence and comes equipped with the HomeSafe™24/7 lost pet service, which relies on a dedicated full time dispatch staff and linked pet profiles to help get lost pets home quickly.

Know Who to Call
The Kitchener Waterloo Humane Society provides animal control for Woolwich including lost, found, or at large pets and distress or deceased wild animals on public property.
Other services include adopting or surrendering a pet, resources, volunteering, and donations.
The Humane Society has an after-hours line for sick/injured animals, dangerous dogs, or Police assistance only.
An animal in distress or being neglected.
This includes animal cruelty and animal welfare such as animals injured, in pain, sick, suffering or abused, or lack proper care, water, food, or shelter.
Starting January 1, 2020, this service will be managed by Ontario Animal Welfare Services, formerly the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (OSPCA).

Non-emergency crimes and illegal activity such as dog or cock fighting rings can be reported to the Waterloo Regional Police non-emergency line.
