Water Remote Reading Program

Woolwich, ON – The Township of Woolwich is set to begin retrofitting existing water meters to a new Smart Radio.  This new Smart Radio will enable the Township to remotely read water meters which will eliminate the need to physically attend the property of water customers.  This program will only affect properties in Woolwich who are being supplied water from the Township.  Over the next six months KTI will be working in West Montrose, Maryhill. Heidelberg, Conestogo, St. Jacobs and Breslau.

The installation work has been contracted to KTI Limited.  KTI employees can be identified with a KTI uniform, identification badge and will be driving vehicles displaying their name and company logo.  The installation work required as part of the upgrade is deemed to be an essential service and KTI Limited is committed to ongoing safety and is taking enhanced measures to keep everyone safe during the installation process, including daily screening, the use of PPE and maintaining physical distance.

The radio will be mounted over your existing touch receptable, located on the exterior of your property.  With all work being completed outside of the property, no appointment is required.   Upon arrival KTI will notify you that they are present on your property.  If you are not at home during their visit they will proceed with the work and leave a door hanger to provide a status of the installation.  For more information on the program visit, woolwich.ca/en/living-here/Water-and-Sewer.
