Voters casting their ballot early in the 2022 Municipal Election

Voters are choosing to either vote online, not in-line or by phone while on the go!  With Woolwich Council proving the opportunity to vote via internet or telephone voting methods, Woolwich voters have joined hundreds of other Ontario municipalities casting their ballots electronically in the 2022 Municipal Election.  More voters have already cast their ballot before voting day using internet and telephone voting in the 2022 Municipal Election for the Township of Woolwich.

Jeff Smith, Director of Corporate Services/Clerk for the Township of Woolwich, shared that, "So far, more than 1300 or 7.1% of voters have cast their ballot by internet and telephone, compared to 6.0% during the first 4 days of advance polls in the last election."

"Feedback received so far has mainly been positive, with many expressing that voting by internet or telephone is quick and easy, so if you haven't already done so, vote today!" Mr. Smith noted that “If you have already cast your ballot, please remind your friends and family that Election Day is coming quickly, and voting is easier than ever using the internet or telephone method. One of the most common questions people ask is if they need to add spaces when entering their PIN number. The Township wants to remind residents that there are no spaces in your PIN."

The Township’s Voter Help Centres have already helped more than 130 people update their voter information and helped more than 60 people to vote. So far, most people have been helped without having to wait in line. Mr. Smith noted “If you need a hand casting your ballot, have not received youra Voter Letter with incorrect information, please visit any of the Township’s Voter Help Centres, whichever is most convenient for you!”

Voters can visit any Voter Help Centre, regardless of ward, during the voting period, with multiple dates being offered during the Advance Voting period:
