Sudden passing of Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) Trustee candidate Mark Fraser

Sadly, the Townships of Wellesley and Woolwich learned that Mark Fraser, the WRDSB Trustee candidate for Wellesley/Woolwich passed away suddenly.  We offer our sincerest condolences to Mr. Fraser’s family and friends.

Both Woolwich and Wellesley will be removing Mr. Fraser’s name from internet and telephone ballots. Only Woolwich is providing paper ballots and will be removing Mr. Fraser’s name from paper ballots as well. Public notices of Mr. Fraser’s passing will be posted at all in-person voting sites.

As Mr. Fraser’s passing does not create an acclamation for the WRDSB Trustee positions, the election will continue, and the results will be produced on October 24^th for the remaining candidates.
