Grand Opening of the Newly Built Maryhill Fire Station

Woolwich, ON – Woolwich Township Officials will cut the ribbon to celebrate the Grand Opening of the newly built Maryhill Fire Station. The community is invited to join us for a Community BBQ and to tour the new facility on Monday, October 23rd between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., located at 17 St. Charles Street East.  The ribbon cutting and dedication ceremony begins at 6:00 p.m.

“This new fire station is an important and much-needed capital project for not only the Township of Woolwich, but for the community of Maryhill,” says Mayor Sandy Shantz.  “This newly built station will help us to continue to deliver professional fire and medical services, adding another layer of safety and security for our community.”

“With the opening of the Maryhill Fire Station, we herald a new era marked by unwavering dedication and a steadfast commitment to our community's safety”, says Township Fire Chief Dennis Aldous. “This state-of-the-art facility equips our firefighters with the necessary resources to undergo comprehensive training and respond effectively to emergencies for the benefit of present and future generations. We take great pride in this new station and eagerly anticipate its integral role in our community's safety and well-being.”
