The last municipal election was held on Monday, October 24, 2022. The next municipal election will be held on Monday, October 26, 2026.


2022 Election

In 2022, many voters in the Township of Woolwich cast their vote in the Municipal Election from the comfort of their own home or from anywhere they could access internet. In addition to internet voting, the Township offered in-person voting at numerous polling stations. The official list of candidates has been certified by the Clerk per the Municipal Elections Act.

2026 Election

Are you already thinking about the next municipal election? Starting in 2024, Elections Ontario will manage a single register of electors for both provincial and municipal elections in Ontario. You can check to see if your name is on the voters' list or manage your information through the voter registration service. You can also update or manage school support through the MAPC school support tool.

Are you 16 or 17 years old and interested in voting? If you are 16 or 17 years old, a Canadian citizen, and a resident of Ontario, you can add your name to the Register of Future Voters.

Municipal Elections are the foundation of the local democratic process and are held every four years in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996. The Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing has a variety of resources relating to municipal elections.
