Swim Admittance Policy
The Swim Admittance Policy is in effect for all swims and rentals. The lifeguards will enforce the policy, and may use their discretion to ensure safety of all swimmers in the pool.
Children 6 to 9 years old will receive an orange wristband to wear while swimming. Children 6 to 9 years must be accompanied at all times (within arm's reach) by a parent or guardian who is at least 12 years of age while swimming. There is a maximum of 2 children for each parent or guardian. If children 6 - 9 years old pass the facility swim test, they may be admitted to the pool unaccompanied, and wearing a green wristband while swimming. Completion of the facility swim test is at the discretion of the lifeguards on duty. A parent/guardian must be present for the swim test, and remain in the facility for the duration of the swim period.
Children 10 years and older will receive a green wristband to wear while swimming. Children 10 years and older may be admitted to the pool area unsupervised, although swimming with a buddy is encouraged.
The swim admission policy, or deep end swimming restrictions may also apply for swimmers over the age of 10, should there be any safety concerns with their swimming ability.
- Front Swim: 25m (an attempt at over-arm recovery with a near horizontal body position)
- Tread Water: 1 minute (vertical and stationary body position, with ears staying above water)
Completion of the swim test is at the discretion of the lifeguard on duty. A maximum of two attempts per day are permitted.
Children wearing personal flotation devices must be within arms' reach of a parent or guardian at all times.
Mermaid Tail Swim Test Criteria
- Must complete Swim Test (without Mermaid Tail) before attempting the Mermaid Tail Swim Test
- Swim with Mermaid Tail: 15m continuously, change direction, and swim 15m back to point of safety
- Listen to the lifeguards
- Children wearing personal flotation devices must be within arms' reach of a parent or guardian at all times
- The following are not permitted:
- Running on the pool deck
- Sitting on shoulders
- Horseplay/rough housing
- Playing on the pool ramps
- Diving in the shallow areas of the pool
- Lap Pool Rules:
- All children under 10 years old must pass the swim test to swim in the deep end
- For safety, we do not allow flotation devices in the deep end
- The blocks are closed for jumping/diving
- The diving board is open during public swims
- Diving board rules:
- Must pass the swim test to use the diving board
- Please only jump or dive forward
- Flips are not permitted
- One person on the diving board at a time
- Leisure Pool Rules:
- The jets and lemon drop features may be turned on at the lifeguard's discretion, based on number of swimmers and activities
- Diving is not permitted in the leisure pool
- To use the slide:
- Children must be able to stay seated upright independently
- Small children and children wearing lifejackets must be assisted up the ladder by a parent or guardian

Insurance
Insurance is required for all rentals. Insurance is available for purchase through the Township with Gameday Insurance. Otherwise, renters must provide proof of liability insurance.
